Morningstar "Investigate and Win!"


Flying Aces provided the technology behind Leapnet's online promotional sweepstakes for Morningstar. The online promotion was designed to build brand awareness and increase the reach and frequency of Morningstar.com. The prizes awarded in the sweepstakes featured a $50,000 grand prize, and daily prizes of Palm IIIx connected organizers. Free copies of the Morningstar StockInvestor and Morningstar FundInvestor were given away to each participant. This promotion was seamlessly integrated with the Morningstar membership system. Existing members were automatically registered for the Investigate and Win promotion; and new participants were instantly registered as new members at Morningstar. Flying Aces provided the technology for the promotion as well as preloading and integrating the Morningstar membership database with the promotion system.

United Airlines "Turn Miles Into Moments" Promotion


Flying Aces provided the back-end technology and hosting for the United Airlines promotion "Turn Miles into Moments". Partnering with Frankel, the promotion targeted Mileage Plus members. Participants were awarded certificates and opportunities to double Mileage Plus miles, and donate matching miles to the U.S. Olympic team. The promotion back-end was integrated with the United Airline's Mileage Plus program to update membership profile information.

At the conclusion of the promotion, Flying Aces created a data mart to allow Frankel to perform online analytical processing (OLAP) on the responses of the promotion participants over the five month campaign.

Arthur Andersen "Hoopla!" NCAA Basketball Pool



A million dollars! -- That's what Arthur Andersen offered their employees if they could pick every team correctly in the NCAA Men's College Basketball Pool.  Flying Aces Technology teamed with the Arthur Andersen's Design Unit to create this spectacular Intranet contest featuring "Artie," the firm's alter ego and former UCLA coach, John Wooden. Over 13,000 Arthur Anderson employees participated in this game. Unfortunately, with the upsets by Weber State and Gonzaga nobody won the million dollars, but hundreds of Wooden autographed basketballs were awarded to entrants who beat the Coach's picks.

Morningstar "Global Investment Challenge" Interactive Game



Flying Aces partnered with Leapnet to develop the Global Investment Challenge simulated trading game. The interactive game allowed participants to invest $100k of a mock portfolio over ten years. The back-end technology was fully integrated with Morningstar's website registration system. The winner was awarded $2500 to invest.

MSNBC "Win Tools You Can Use"

After Leapnet won a premier account to promote MSNBC's redesigned web site, they needed technical talent to implement an online sweepstakes. They called Flying Aces Technology to design, implement, and support the programming and database components of the "Win Tools You Can Use" promotion hosted at MSNBC. Designed to coincide with $500K of web, print and TV advertising, Flying Aces delivered the application on schedule and met the applications' performance goals, allowing up to half a million players, registering 100K individuals, and awarding over 3000 prizes during the 34 day contest.

MSN "FastLane" Sweepstakes


Microsoft Network "Fast Lane" promotional sweepstakes ran for three months generating 750K visits. The Grand Prize for this promotion was a Chevrolet Corvette Coupe and was awarded in a random drawing at the end of the promotion. Instant win prizes were awarded daily. Flying Aces Technology partnered with Leapnet to develop and implement this promotion for MSN.

Avery "Add Color to Your Life" Instant Win Game


Flying Aces provided the back-end technology and hosting for the Avery Dennison "Add Color to Your Life" instant win game. Flying Aces partnered with Gage Marketing Group to provide the technology for the Avery internet promotion. The promotion ran for two months and collected information from each of the participants. The instant win game supported multiple affiliate sites. A flexible prize schedule was used in this promotion and included three levels of prizes.

AirTran Airways "Free 2 Go Giveaway"


Flying Aces provided the back-end technology and hosting for the AirTran Airways "Free 2 Go" giveaway. We partnered with Cramer-Krasselt and Schema Studios to deliver the "Free 2 Go Giveaway" sweepstakes. The promotion ran for two months and supported 9 affiliate sites. Each affiliate site asked the participants different sets of questions as part of the registration process. The affiliate sites were city portals for the AirTran hubs. The flexible prize schedule allowed daily prizes to be awarded to entrants from each affiliate site. A total of 464 roundtrip tickets were awarded.

didUnet "$1 Million College Basketball Challenge"


Flying Aces provided the back-end technology for the didUnet.com "$1 Million College Basketball Challenge". This promotion was an interactive contest that captured the excitement of March Madness - Men's NCAA Tournament.

Slate "Win What Matters"


Flying Aces developed the back-end technology for the Slate "Win What Matters" interactive promotion. Partnering with creative agency Leapnet, the promotion was designed to build awareness and increase the reach and frequency of the online magazine, Slate.com. This successful promotion quadrupled site traffic in four months, grew Media Metrix rating from 0.4 to 1.8 and established Slate as the number one political e-zine, surpassing Salon. This promotion introduced several unique features where entrants were required to find a hidden icon to participate, and winners could select from different categories of prizes. Instant-win gift certificates (redeemable online) to barnesandnoble.com were awarded daily.
